It's always an exciting feeling to launch a new series here on Timeless Streets. I'm constantly coming up with new ideas for content, but I tend to sit on things for a while before finally pulling the trigger (firing the shutter?). Tools of the Trade will be all about gear. I've never been a fan of the dismissive tone that countless "Does Gear Matter?" videos/articles online have taken in the past. To me, experimenting with a variety cameras is half the fun.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be putting to the test six different disposable film cameras. Three black and white, three color. I'll develop and scan all of the film myself, post every single frame in a gallery, as well as write a short post about my experience shooting each one and my overall impressions of the outcome. My first ever camera was a Kodak disposable that I took on a field trip to the zoo, so these hold a special place in my heart. Please join me in giving new life to the disposable.
